Contents:
The SeqAn workshop aims at mainly two groups of bioinformaticians.
Tool developers and end users of sequencing related problems. For tool developers and programmers we will offer guided tutorials which aim at getting programmers acquainted with the programming paradigms, the content and the structure of the SeqAn template library.

For end users, we offer courses in selected SeqAn applications (e.g. Yara or Lambda), talks by groups using SeqAn and tutorials of workflow integration into KNIME.

Learning goals:
- Learn how to program efficient applications in C++ using SeqAn
- Learn how to incorporate the applications into KNIME workflows
- There are several SeqAn applications for NGS analysis. Learn in depth how they work
- Learn about user projects that already make use of SeqAn in their development

Prerequisites:
Users should be acquainted with NGS data. The workshop will address programmers and workflow developers in the area. If you are interested in programming tutorials some experience with C++ is highly recommended.

Keywords:
NGS analysis, index data structures, software library, programming, workflows

Tools:
The SeqAn library, the KNIME workflow engine, SeqAn applications
