Contents:
This training course focuses on tool integration of bioinformatics tools starting from data conversion and extends to the generation of reports. The main goal of this effort is generation of workflows for a reproducible and fast processing of Proteomics data. Within the course, the BioInfra.Prot workflow suite XplatCom is introduced and application of the software is shown using the example of integrating LC – MS and Affymetrix microarray data obtained from lung carcinoma samples.

Learning goals:
- Introduction into the usage of the XPlatCom workflow suite
- The participants acquire an advanced insight of the benefits of workflows in the context of both mass spectrometry based Proteomics and integrated multi-omics data analysis

Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge in biochemistry, molecular biology and statistics

Keywords:
KNIME, Proteomics, multi-Omics, Analysis of high throughput data obtained from clinical samples

Tools:
KNIME, XPlatCom
