WELCOME to the NGS Symposium 2026!
DESCRIPTION OF EVENT
The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg is hosting the 7th NGS Symposium on the 14th-16th of April 2026.
This interdisciplinary meeting will bring together the community of researchers working with next-generation sequencing technologies and adjacent methods across different fields. Scientists at all stages of their careers are welcome.
The conference will cover the following specific research topics:
- Single molecule and single cell - Characterization of molecular heterogeneity and intracellular variability via sequencing at single-molecule and single-cell resolutions
- Spatial-omics - Spatial-omics profiling of transcriptomic and genomic landscapes within tissue microenvironments
- Epigenomics and TFs - Analysis of epigenetic modifications and transcription factor dynamics shaping gene regulation
- Cancer and Precision medicine - Application of insights in precision oncology for personalized therapeutic approaches
- AI and ML - Incorporation of AI and Machine Learning into NGS data analysis
- Frameworks and Workflows - Establishing scalable, reproducible and streamlined pipelines for NGS data analysis
- "Genomics in the Could" - Panel discussion on bioinformatic analysis with cloud-based tools and workflows
TARGET AUDIENCE
This event is aimed at all life scientists with hands-on experience working with NGS technologies, regardless of career stage, from PIs to students. Both academic as well as non-academic participants are welcome.
Registration is mandatory, but free of charge.
