For more than nine years, the de.NBI Cloud has been providing computing resources free of charge to the scientific community in Germany. Researchers from a wide range of fields – ranging from metagenomics, medical imaging, epigenetics and plant phenotyping to areas beyond the life sciences, such as the digital humanities – benefit from the opportunities provided by the de.NBI Cloud.
Once again, we are organizing this event in collaboration with de.KCD, the Data Competence Center for Cloud Technologies, to disseminate cloud-based data management and data processing more widely. This year, we would like to break new ground and provide the Cloud User Meeting with more opportunities for interaction, scientific and technical exchange, and the presentation of participants’ own research and solutions made possible by cloud infrastructure - hence rebranding the 9th Cloud User Meeting as the the first Cloud User Symposium.
Therefore, we are launching a call for contributions first, offering you the opportunity to present your research and work to a wide audience in the form of posters or short presentations. This also allows us, as infrastructure and training providers, to better understand your application scenarios and associated requirements, helping us to shape our services accordingly. The current agenda is preliminary - the final agenda of the symposium will partly depend on the range and amount of submitted contributions and will be updated once the call is closed and contributions selected.
The Cloud User Symposium will take place as an in person event, limited for 50 participants in total, at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel Frankfurt from November 5th - 6th 2026. The main event language is English. We look forward to welcoming you in Frankfurt this year! More information and registration: https://events.hifis.net/event/4160/
