Omics Fusion is a new web application for the integrative analysis of omics data and the successor of ProMeTra. Aim of this workshop is to introduce the software and demonstrate its tools and visualization methods to explore transcriptome, proteome and metabolome datasets. In hands-on tutorials some selected data visualizations will be explained in detail and applied on provided (or own) datasets in order to adjust experiments and make new discoveries. Using the analysis methods provided by Omics Fusion answers will be given to typical questions in omics data analysis regarding the determination of differentially regulated transcripts/proteins/metabolites or the detection of groups of transcripts/proteins/metabolites with similar patterns of expression/abundance.

Prerequisites:
This workshop is intended for MSc/PhD students and postdocs with molecular biology background in transcriptomics (e.g. microarrays, RNA-seq), proteomics (e.g. LC-MS/MS) and/or metabolomics (e.g. GC-MS).
