We are deeply saddened by the passing of Prof. Dr. Peer Bork, a long-standing and highly valued member of the de.NBI network.
Peer was involved from the very beginning of the network’s foundation in 2015 and remained a dedicated supporter and active contributor ever since. He was deeply committed to the de.NBI mission and actively supported its goals. As lead of the de.NBI Human Data Service Centre, he played a key role in shaping our activities and advancing the network for over a decade.
With his passing, we lose an outstanding scientist, an inspiring colleague, and a long-time friend. Our thoughts are with his family and with the many colleagues and friends who had the privilege of working closely with him.
