There is an allottment of rooms reserved for the participants of the Biohackathon Germany. Further information is included in the confirmation mail you will receive after the registration. 

Travel information

Our venue for the BioHackathon Germany 2025 - Anders Hotel Walsrode - is located in northern Germany.

By Plane:

  • Fly into Hanover Airport (HAJ) – approx. 50 km from Walsrode.
  • From Hanover Airport, take a train to Walsrode (see 'By Train' below). A taxi might be very expensive.
  • Alternatively, Hamburg Airport (HAM) is around 90 km away.

By Train:

  • Take a train to Walsrode station – regional connections available from Hanover or Hamburg.
  • The hotel is about 3 km from Walsrode station.
  • Taxi ride from the station takes about 5–10 minutes; local buses are also available.

By Car:

  • From the north or south, use motorway A7 (Hamburg–Hanover), exit at "Walsrode Süd" and follow signs to Walsrode.
  • From the west or east, use motorway A27 (Bremen–Hanover), exit at "Walsrode-West" and follow signs to Walsrode.
  • The hotel offers parking spaces for guests onsite.
