“Summer Metaproteomics Workshop” is a 3-day workshop introducing students to the fundamentals of metaproteomics, including key technologies and computational approaches used to study microbial communities. Designed for students interested in microbiology, proteomics, bioinformatics, systems biology, and microbiome research, the workshop combines theoretical background with practical insights.
The first two days will cover an introduction to metaproteomics, mass spectrometry (MS) technology, bioinformatics (data processing, statistics, workflows) , a hands-on tutorial on MPA, and basic principles of data visualization. On the final day, students will visit a laboratory to experience metaproteomics workflows and technologies in a real research setting.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained a foundational understanding of metaproteomics, MS-based analysis, bioinformatics workflows, and data visualization, along with first-hand exposure to laboratory practice.
