Contents:
This course is part of the bioinformatics workshop on the pre-congress educational day of the Proteomic Forum / EUPA 2026 conference in Würzburg.
This hands-on workshop provides an introduction to targeted proteomics for researchers who are new to the field. Participants will learn the fundamental principles of assay design and quantitative analysis using tools like MaCPepDB and CalibraCurve.
The workshop will also highlight common pitfalls in assay development and data analysis, helping participants avoid frequent mistakes and improve data quality.
Learning goals:
Participants will learn how to
- select proteotypic peptides (MaCPepDB),
- hoose suitable fragment ions for quantification,
- build and evaluate calibration curves using the R-package CalibraCurve.
Prerequisites:
- No prior knowledge required
- Laptop to follow the hands-on parts
