This hands-on workshop introduces the practical use of large language models (LLMs) and simple agent-based workflows in bioinformatics. It also provides an introduction to the LLM API services available through the de.NBI Cloud Site Berlin.

Learning goals:

• Access and use LLM API services
• Integrate LLMs into bioinformatics workflows
• Build a minimal agent for multi-step task execution
• Evaluate results and identify strengths and failure modes

Prerequisites:

• Basic Linux / Bash / Python proficiency
• A relevant use case or dataset is highly recommended
