This hands-on workshop introduces the practical use of large language models (LLMs) and simple agent-based workflows in bioinformatics. It also provides an introduction to the LLM API services available through the de.NBI Cloud Site Berlin.
Learning goals:
- Access and use LLM API services
- Integrate LLMs into bioinformatics workflows
- Build a minimal agent for multi-step task execution
- Evaluate results and identify strengths and failure modes
Prerequisites:
- Basic Linux / Bash / Python proficiency
- A relevant use case or dataset is highly recommended
