This workshop will introduce Kubernetes as a container orchestration solution. The focus is on concepts and the basic features of Kubernetes to provide a solid background for further exploration of Kubernetes. It also introduces some best-practices for software development with containers and Kubernetes. A good understanding of container technologies such as Docker is prerequisite.
The workshop is a free online course jointly organized by scientists from NFDI4Microbiota and ELIXIR-DE. The number of participants is limited to 20. To register, please fill out the application form. Participants will either need an ELIXIR-account (https://elixir-europe.org/register) OR have to install minikube (https://kubernetes.io/de/docs/setup/minikube/).
