This workshop provides an overview of how de.NBI and ELIXIR tools and resources support research data management (RDM) in practice.
It includes an introduction to de.NBI/ELIXIR-DE and ELIXIR, as well as a presentation of relevant RDM services, guidance materials, and training resources. Participants work with selected use cases to identify typical RDM challenges and assess the maturity of different scenarios. Based on this, existing tools and services (e.g. RDMkit, TeSS, Data Stewardship Wizard) are examined in relation to identified needs.
The workshop concludes with a structured discussion of common challenges, gaps, and possible approaches, providing an overview of how available resources can be applied to support FAIR-aligned RDM practices.
Learning goals:
• Identify real-world RDM challenges in life sciences projects
• Apply de.NBI & ELIXIR resources to their own scenarios, recognise gaps and derive concrete next steps
• Practical recommendations for using existing infrastructure
• Networking and knowledge exchange among participants
